Kelley, somehow I forsee a post from you in the near future where you've somehow almost killed yourself AGAIN but this time it will be with these clamps! :p

Look neat, I prefer the pipe style ratchet clamps because they won't move the scales around so much. I'd like to get some "kant-twist" clamps but they're "kant-afford" right now :(

When I'm doing a batch of handles, I pull out my box of 30-40 hand clamps. My wife used to say, "Why do you need so many clamps?" Now she has seen twenty knives with two clamps on each handle and knows.........You can't have too many clamps.

Kelly,
I like the movable jaw tips on that type. I have several like it without the ratchet lock. Try and not over-clamp or you may squeeze out all the glue from between the scales and the tang.

Clamps, dam thats another thing I have to buy today. Thank god for the real job, because this knife making thing is going to break me:p

what clamps do most guys use? I try and find spring clamps that arent too strong. I have about 25 myself and need a few more :)

I use kant twist clamps I love them. Spring clamps I have the small ponys from HD, and some plastic ones from ''horror freight'' that are not to strong in pressure.

I have some of those clamps and really like them. The quick release is a nice feature.
