I was introduced to high end knives a few months ago, and now have a small collection consisting of Rockstead, Shirogorov, Gareth Bull, and Holt. My favorites are Shirogorov and Gareth Bull. I love the simple minimalism of the GB Shamwari, and of course the design and action of Shirogorov's are unmatched. I'm just curious to see what else is out there, and what is everybody else's favorite?001A3975.jpg

I have a lot of folders that were designed by some of the biggest names in the business. They are all CRKT, but it's the thought that counts...
I hear ya...got a bunch of those myself, for way less than the price of one actual Walker or van Hoy😂

Filip De Coene, Ray Laconico, Andrew Demko, and Peter Rassenti.

Kornalski Knives for the Godzilla. I don't want to know what that piece of Caldie cost him!

Busse for their deserved reputation.

A company called Mercworx produced three folding knives in similar patterns, that they called The Three Fates. They come up on the auction site once in a while, and while they may not be truly "high end".....

They're more than I can talk myself into paying.

Koenig Arius is terrific as is the Grimsmo Norseman. I was ready to not like the Norseman due to it’s price, size, blade style and reports that it was an old design, over priced and really not relevant compared to the latest greatest. I absolutely love it and will not let if go anytime soon.

The best made custom high end folding knives i've personally ever seen were made by a German fellow with the name Heinz Kocher.
Now i've also handled Rocksteads, custom Microtechs and Sebenza's, and Kocher's knives are a noticeable step (or two) above those.
These links lead to two threads on the main German knife forum where a couple of his folders are shown:
