Best keychain knife - Spyderco Ladybug 3 or Benchmade Benchmite

Title pretty much says it all. I'm looking for a small knife to keep on my keychain. This will be for those occasions when I can't carry my bigger knife and to just make sure I always have SOMETHING. I think I like the Spyderco better, but I'm tempted to buy the Benchmade because one of the vendors I buy from is giving away a free Benchmade Torx tool kit with any Benchmade purchase and I need a tool kit too and this would save me some money.

So, which of these do you prefer or is there another one I'm missing that I should be looking at?

I really like the Spyderco Ladybug3.

Solid little lockback with a great VG10 blade.

I'd also recommend the Buck Hartsook---it's a fixed blade, small in size. It's very practical for the keychain, made from S30V steel heat treated by Paul Bos, and you never, ever have to worry about lock strength. I carry one on my keychain off and on along with the Ladybug, and a Leatherman Micra.

I'd readily recommend either.

for the keychain definately the ladybug, I have a serrated one on mine and it has come in handy many, many times

ladybug, I have the benchmite and carried it for a while but I dont like the blade shape and the locking mechanism so now it sits, Ladybug is all around better IMO for the size these two knifes are.

Lady bug, or what I have, a classic sd. Ladybugs are nice and have better steel, but don't come with a nail file, little scissors, tooth pick and tweezers.

I'm going to get the Ladybug on pay day. I did want the deal for the free Benchmade tool, but I found another Benchmade product I "needed" so I will be getting to the tool anyway.

I hope you're kidding & not posting a link to a site you own. Those knives are cheap Chinese junk, not to mention blatant copies of some good knives. I noticed they sell a fake Emerson there, too.

If you trully don't know the difference, most of those knives will probably break or don't work (Or won't for very long).

Duly noted. I will remember that in the future. Thank you for keeping the forum clean of this riff raff.
