Best keychain knives...

SOG makes a nice little key shaped lock back. I carried one my wife bought me for several years before losing it to the TSA.

The Harnds Lark is cheap and reasonably good for what it is. The blade is thin and slices well. The 8Cr14Mov won't hold an edge forever but it'll hold up better than something like the CRKT Minimalist or the little knife on a Gerber Dime. It stays closed relaibly on my keys. The little clip allows it to be easily attached or removed from a split ring, small carabiner, etc. The clip also doubles as a bottle opener. I gave them out as gifts this past Christmas.

I don't carry a keychain, but another vote for the Rambler here! Just like the ionic Vic Classic, but with the ever-important cap lifter ;)

Kershaw is coming out with a new keychain knife they just announced @ shotshow2020 called the Hub:

I've preordered one from BladeHQ. Looks pretty sweet kinda like the poor man's ZT0022 :D

I don't always carry a keychain knife, but when I do its usually a serrated Ladybug. I went with serrated, because I almost always have a pocket knife on me anyway. This way I've got both plain edge and serrated.

Ladybug II everyday for 20 years. Bought here used and still solid.

Either a little Vic classic or escort depending which keys. Or a leatherman squirt if I fancy a change or need more tools. Did have a boker subcom on my car keys for a while too but was a bit bulky.

Victorinx alox classic. Can’t beat it for it’s compact size. It won’t be the best knife in the world, but the scissors and the file that can be used as flat and cross driver in the same time add value to it. I have grinded the file tip just a bit for it to work as a micro driver in a pinch.

I don't do knives on keychains but I say the best are the classic, Gerber LST ultralight, and Christy companion.

For years it was a serrated Ladybug (also so I could have teeth to compliment my “main” plain edge EDC). For the last 18 months or so it’s been a Vic Rambler as I use the scissors and screwdrivers much more than I used the serrated blade of the Ladybug.

Although I wouldn't recommend it on a keychain, my favorite in this category is the A.G. Russell 3" midlock. Essentially the same knife is the G.Sakai Preppy. The AGR in in titanium would hold up fine on a keychain, but I'm less confident in the carbon fibre one. Flat as a pancake and much thinner than one, with an excellent blade to handle ratio of 2.5" to 3.0". Weighs about .6 oz. I pretty much carry it regardless of whatever other knife/knives I carry because it's so unobtrusive that there's no reason not to.

On my keychain I have a Spyderco Honeybee (the middle sized one of the lineup). Blade steel isn't much to brag about, but it's tiny and razor sharp. Great for splinters and other stuff where a needle tip is needed.

It doesn't get any better then the SAK Classic imo. I love having the scissors too.

I used a Boker Keycom for awhile. Nice knife but the Classic kicked it out of my pocket years ago.

Small SAK for sure. I’ve had an alox vagabond on my keys for years. Just picked up a nice Ukrainian Trezub Classic the other day for my other set of keys.
Love having a nice little non threatening guy since I can’t always pull out my knife, sometimes I can’t carry one at all but I’ve pulled it off my keys to use the scissors or screwdriver and no one bats an eyelash.
