Been looking into adding a keychain size pry bar to my EDC, but can't decide which one. Right now I'm considering the Countycomm 3" widgy, Boker VAT, and the TT Pocket Tools Chopper. I am open to other suggestions though. Just looking for some input from people who've actually been able to use some of these on how well they perform.
Thanks!

:EDIT: I'd like to keep it under ~$30, preferably more like $20-$25.

I have several of the Countycomm flavors, and they function well. The ones that are canted at the tip are a little easier to use than the flat ones, as it gives you a little bit of pivot action to pry things up. They can also be a little sharp in the pocket, but I guess you could always take down that sharp edge just a tad. I used to carry a mini prybar like that, but eventually gave it up as it was getting no usage. But everyone is different. I usually have a multitool flat driver on me that I can use for light prying (paint can lids, etc.).

Atwood is the best.

The Boker works well and has some nice features though for a lot less. ;)

I got an original Atwood Prybaby for $25, but I don't think you can get them for that any more. I can't imagine one being better, though. Nail puller, little screwdriver, bottle opener.

I really like the TTPockettools (should be the first result if you google the name). They have a few pry ones for under $20 shipped made from S30v

I have a widgy bar on my keys. I'm always finding new stuff to use it for. I've bent it a time or two trying to pry on stuff that I shouldn't have, but overall, I'd buy a new one if mine were lost or destroyed. I tried one of the smaller variants, but the full-size is quite a bit handier, IMO.

I have a bunch of atwood, jdr, and others and the one I have on me all the time is the widgy - use it all the time for completely random stuff - opening packages, metal thumbnail, stuck doors ,etc - can't recommend it enough and have given them as gifts. While the shipping is a killer - buy a bunch of other stuff from countycomm and make it worth it!

I also have MANY small pry tools, but the 3" Widgy is always on my keychain and get used frequently.

STR in the makers forum makes an awesome titanium pry bar. I beat mine all to hell and it still looked great till i lost it on campus, hope it found a good home

I just noticed that you can no longer get the kydex sheath for the Widgy, would it be too poky for pocket carry?

Lee valley has a nice little pocket wrench/pry bar for well under $20! I've used it to pry moulding up without damaging it. I was impressed for the price.

ACE Hardware for about 4 bucks each.

I got one of these from knifecenter for $24, I thought that was expensive but was all I could find at the time.

I have rarely pried with it, but it has come in handy, I use the 1/4" driver quite a lot with a cheap bit set when I don't have my real tools.
The cutter is absolute junk, bottle opener has seen the most use TBH and works very well ;)
