Waiting on TWD to start up again, I found myself rewatching earlier episodes on netflix tonight, and it got me asking this and a few other related queries/observations...

Daryl's Busse team gemini is just beastly. Best knife in the show, I want one but turns out they aren't so easy to come by in these pre-zombie apocalypse days...Does beg the question though, how did a backwoods tracker drug addled motorcycle drifter wind up with a custom 400$ knife? Great score on Daryl's part...

How lucky is Carl to come upon the Gerber zombie apocalypse set randomly on a deserted highway DURING the zombie apocalypse?

In season 3 at the prison, is Glen rocking a tramontina?

What piece did Neegan use to gut Spencer in the middle of the street with?

And finally, I love Michonne's character, but the portrayal of her katana is such a manifest of the dramatically overhyped reputation of the samurai sword. I'm just saying, the best katana in the world more than likely can't do the things Michonne's blade does.
 
I believe it was season 2, Lori carried a spyderco endura on her hip.

I also saw a Manix 2 in season 2, but I forget who had it.

It has got to be the tglb. Not a custom knife though. They come up on the exchange fairly often.
 
In one of the more recent episodes Rick dispatches a walker with a Southern Grind Bad Monkey.

It happens at a farm when he and Morgan are looking for Carol and they meet some people that were looking for a horse
 
The hatchet Rick carried during Neegan's episodes is Cold Steel Chinese gang hatchet
The bayonet Sasha carried during these last episodes is a typical AK47 Bayonet
Carol uses during the first three seasons a cheap United Cutlery knuckle knife with tanto point
The bowie that Carl always wears on his belt is a Laredo Bowie by Cold Steel
The machetes Glenn uses are the Tramontina 14", and the Gerber version of the woodsman's pal (prev. seasons)
In the Prison season(s) Rick Uses a Gator machete from Gerber (serrated back) on occasion
Gerber folders are used in the first seasons on occasion (like after Rick fights Shane and they both get surrounded by zombies around a School Bus)
etc.
 
Carol had a Benchmade Infidel. When they thought she was dead in the prison, Daryl found her knife, and in frustration stabbed the concrete floor. That pissed me off. Daryl knows the value of a good knife. But I understand his pain.

Yup.👍 Can't remember his name though. Also think there was a Busse Hawkeye Dagger on the show, also don't remember the name of who carried it.:o Plenty of great blades on twd.

Sad to say it, but this is the hunk of garbage they gave Negan. Just blackened the handle, or perhaps there's a black handled version I couldn't find.

Ulf, I don't believe it is the Hawkeye Dagger but rather the even more rare Busse Old School Custom Integral Dagger aka BOSC ID:thumb:
If they ever release that knife into production with a longer blade I will HAVE to buy three!
Spencer is (WAS) the lucky character who got to carry it in the show. Which makes me wonder if they grabbed it off him since he is dead now...
 
There was a satin Steel Heart fusion in the trunk when Carole and Rick part ways after it is learned she burned the sick characters.

There was at least the one Steel Heart (Heavy heart fusion perhaps).The Gerber stuff is garbage.


I'm constantly annoyed with many of the weapons they use. Nearly every garage has better. Sharpened sticks? Really. Nearly every house has a crow bar. Every car has a tire iron.

Every hardware store has many many great weapons.

I'm disappointed there are not way more swords, maces, war hammers, spears, etc. Apparently they need to be members on here.

Agreed....
He deserves something beasty and of quality, like a busse battle saw
 
Maggie had a CQC-7 in that pre-Terminus fog scene with Bob and Sasha. I can't remember who had it, but there was a Busse Combat BOSC-ID in season 6.
 
Besides the TGLB and the un-confirmed suspected Busses, the rest of the show's edged weapons are disappointing at best. That piece they had Negan using w/ the black handle was pathetic.

I do keep in mind that many of the show's fans are not knife people like us here. Perfect case in point, people who have no idea about knives may think that Carol's knuckle knife was cool. We know, sadly, it is just a cheap piece of junk made by an awful company.

Speaking for myself (and probably a lot of you as well), I have higher expectations regarding the choice of blades in popular shows or movies! A side effect of the hobby I guess:)
 
They had a damn cool looking knife used by darrel last night in the finale. I have no idea what it was though.
