What are you guys using for Loupes? What brand? What power? Is it illuminated?
Thanks in advance.

I have a few. No brand. Amazon. Lighted and 10x for me works great. I used to have higher mag and even a 400x USB scope. But the 10x is all I need

I've got a cheap 10x Bausch & Lomb, works pretty good. I like 10x it gives you a pretty good idea what's going on with the edge.

I like 10x for general use. Get a good triplet loupe if you want a clear undistorted view of what you're looking at.

I literally bought the least expensive ones I could find on Amazon - about 10 or 12 bucks for a 10X and 30X in a set. They work fine, but the lighted ones would have been a smarter choice.

I use a lighted one, again cheap off amazon. As per the above post definitely get a lighted one. I’ve tried with and without the light and I can’t see anything without it!

Mine is black and says made in Germany (think it's 20x), it's a bit more expensive but the one I had before that literally fell apart and the LED quit.

I got my first loupe on Amazon and it arrived today. It was only $9 and is a 30x/60x with LED light. It may break tomorrow but as of right now I cannot explain how impressed I am with it. Here are two pictures I just took: one through the 30x loupe and the other through the 60x loupe with whittled hair. It's the "Dreame" brand if anyone is wondering.

Nice!

I got an illuminated LED power 20x 21mm lens jewelers loupe from Amazon for $10.99. It does what I need it for but a higher power like the above pics seems even better. They all seem priced under $20.

I'll admit that my pics above seem misleading. It really does work that well but the loupes are relatively small. The 30x is 22mm wide and the 60x is 12mm wide. So you really have to get it centered just right for it to show up like my pics. As far as my pics, I just put my iphone camera lens over the viewer and tapped the screen for it to focus--then clicked the picture. So that may be an easier way to actually use the loupe as well (viewing through your camera).

View attachment 1055102 View attachment 1055103 I like the Opti Visor and the Zeiss loupes. I have added T lights to both. The O/V uses a #7 (diopter) lens board and has a power of 2 3/4X and a working distance of 20cm. The Zeiss is 4.3X power and has a working distance of 40cm.
