Best Scissors on a multitool?

what multitool do you think has the best scissors? my top choice is the leatherman squirt s4/leatherman micra followed by victorinox's scissors.

I would say the Victorinox scissors are my fave on a full multitool. They work pretty well. I also have a SOG and those scissors won't cut a thing! Just terrible. The scissors on the Wenger knives work really well too, much better than Vic SAKs imo.

Just thinking about that today, for maybe 30 seconds (no, not off the track yet :)). It depends on what is being cut. I used to prefer Vic overall, except for the Spirit, but often they are outperformed by Leathermen. Micras seem to work better on some fibrous materials, I have found, and the Charge TTi scissors turned out to be all around better than expected. To be honest, I like them all. My wife, on the other hand, is strictly Vic, thinks my fondness for Leatherman is a character flaw.

Vic Swisstool , the Spirit scissors are just OK . I never cared mutch for Leatherman Scissors .

Ive got several SAK's and a Swisstool and theyve all got great scissors. Dont like LM's scissors much. Theyre too small for my liking. The one on the Juice is abit better than the one on the fullsize tools. Had a SOG once, and the scissors were way too dull to cut anything fine. Dont know if it would have been better if i had sharpened them, sent it back within a couple of days.

I prefer the Wenger spring system over the Victorinox. Leatherman scissors are O,K, but my favorite scissors are those Fiskars scissors on the Original Gerber 400 multi-tool. That is the best thing about that old Gerber multitool.

I've got a Spirit, both the small and large Vic SAK scissors, and a Leatherman S2. I prefer the S2 scissors but carry a Vic SAK for other reasons.

Surge scissors are OK , but the tool needs to be carried on a trailer .

I liked the scissors on the original LEatherman Wave. They worked very well. The scissors on the Leatherman Juice line were good too. I have the Vic Spirit and I do not care for the scissors, although I am glad that there are scissors on the tool.

Vic Swisstool is my vote. The scissors on my S2 juice are simultaneously loose and gummy (the looseness is in the pivot, the gumminess is in the spring mechanism). It's like someone wasn't paying quite enough attention to the clearances. The Swisstool scissors are perfect. The ones on the Swisstool Spirit have a definite downside in the minimal opening, but on the other hand they are for a different kind of cutting task (notice how one side is flat) and are well-made.

Juice and Surge are both great, Spirit ones are just too small but work in a pinch, Swisstool is much better. Wave and Charge ones are kinda too small, Buck X-tract scissors are VERY nice, one of the sharpest out there, but they only put them on the Fin model. I just had a set of SOG scissors in a Powerlock and they were very sharp and I liked the mechanism, but I hear that all of them are not that way.

The Spirit's scissors were a HUGE disappointment :thumbdn:. I was expecting them to be as good as the ones you find on the SAK, but they have a different geometry, and just suck for delicate work. On the other hand the scissors on my Wave are outstanding, as are the ones on the Micra.

The best multitool scissors are by far the SURGE ones, IMO. They cut extremely well and they are nice and beefy. Some of the newer Wenger Ranger's also have excellent scissors, much better than the SURGE!

For my 2cents - I like the sissor on the 74mm Vic and the Micra as great cutters.. I generally have one or the other in my pocket all the time!
Peace

The nice thing about the Leatherman Micra is that it's so small and lightweight, you can have scissors on you all the time. Love mine!

I had a small run of the mill SAK Executive years ago. Its scissors kept falling apart on me. I had to constantly tighten that tiny screw to keep it together.

I liked the blade overall, but I didn't see the point of the scissors most of the time. I guess it was OK for small tasks...hmmmm, maybe I shouldn't have tried cutting my finger nails with it :o

My Juice XE6 has scissors, but I haven't tested that function yet to have formed an opinion.
