Thanks for looking!

Nice lines. Looks like you could get that one very sharp, but I guess if you are starting out at 1/4", it has enough meet to handle some abuse?

ooh thats nasty! Phillip if you don't mind could you explain the choice of using 01 on a chopper? It doesn't seem to be too common on very large blades. I apologize if this question should go in another forum...

Hmm, well, why not O1? It's one of my favorite steels. It's tougher than 1095, and you see lot's of big blades made out of that.

Thanks for asking. :-)

I have already exceeded my knife-buying budget.

Now, you have made this old man cry.

Well, I'll always have the picture!

Phillip,
That is one lovely chopper. I truly love your work!
Awesome recurve and a handle that looks like it is an organic being.
dinokay, You saved me from jumping in and buying something I shouldn't, at the moment.
Enjoy it!!:D

Man, are you ever going to love that knife, dinokay. I'm still wiping up the drool from the last chopper I bought from Phillip. It's a full-time job, I tell you. ;)

You should see the other three that I have from Phillip.
