What kind of steel is 50hf?

its 6150 spring steel. Its a Sword steel. Most of the swordmakers in Europe including Albion swords uses it for its toughness. For swords they HT it to about 52-55 RC. For knife i HT it higher, to about 55-58.

It’s 5160 with a little bit less carbon and chromium, and a little bit of vanadium thrown in. Should be even tougher!
