Well, here we go. I told ya'll what I was gonna do. Same thing I always do. Grind the ramp, square the spine. I'm not gonna force patina, though. This one gets a natural.

Did your micarta come that dark too? Mine's a real light color.
 
not to bog down the thread,

but for some reason or another I've liked the 10 with the ramp, and I'm not one for ramps...

but I REALLY like the looks of yours..

good job!!! can't wait to see this thread blow up with modilicious BK10's
 
Well, i cant let Mr Moosez have ALL the fun, so i hiked up my sissy girl skirt and just modded 1 of 180 knives worldwide....(cringes a bit). I added a choil (my very first attempt) to give even more control when combined with the thumb ramp. Also sanded the scales to somewhat match the family ( the texture is off and so is the color, so im going to work on that over the next few days by staining and restaining and more sanding) . I also blued it, which you cant really see all to well since the knife was originally two toned, but it will darken over night and pop even more in the morning. here ya go...as always comment and criticism is welcome.

I did the ultimate mod...I modded the ownership over to one of my best friends. It's OK though because he'll appriciate it more and not sell it, AND he's due for his BH# if he didn't get it already (he's in here). I got him started on Beckers. He always liked the 10 design more than me.
 
mmm, it's almost a shame to mod the knife, but well, i know you guys. who's the first one to paint one? ruin that tumble finish why don'tcha :)

sure did. was really scared about it turning out ok, since it was my first choil and a limited edition knife, but it was alot easier than expected
 
Thanks for the photos. I can see the bluing better in those as well.
