So last night I learned how to wrap a handle thanks to our friend the internet. My first time out with paracord and you know what? This stuff seems like it might be useful :o

Here's some pics:

And here's an Izula that I wrapped as well:

Hey that looks good.. I just got my BK-11 yesterday and haven't had time to wrap it...

Looks great I'm Expecting my bk-11 either today or tomorrow and hope to wrap it soon.

Thanks. The wrap uses about 7' of paracord. I've just got to practice my lanyard skills to finish it off nicely. Well, it's not a necessity since it's quite functional as-is, but you know, why not keep screwing with it since I can, right?

Looks good. Now dress those knots and take it outside and modify some landscape with it!

Another thing you can do is strip / gut all the inner cord out and just wrap it with the outer layer - will lay much flatter and thinner. (In case you want to carry concealed under a shirt.)

Looks good - I like to finish mine with a Matthew Walker Knot.

That came out looking nice!

What style of wrap is it? Did you use any certain guide/tutorial?

It looks like the way you bring up the cord increases the width on one side. I have never wrapped a knife, prefer micarta handles, but think that having the extra width on the palm side of the blade would come in handy.

Obsessis: I found this tutorial on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kta2yCSMSZo

The guy is chatty, but if you skip to around the 1st 3rd you'll get to the real information.
It does indeed give a little bit of extra girth on one side, and since I'll not be going for a concealed carry it's just fine for my purposes. The wrap goes quickly, so if I ever need 7' of cord I'll be in business straight away.

I'll have to look up a Matthew Walker knot, afraid my rope lore is a bit lacking.

Here's one I just wrapped. My old wrap was no good, this one is much more secure.

John G - is that a Stryder wrap or a different variant? It looks like you have 3 or more ends that you burnt off....
