BK13 history

I've done some research on the BK13 remora. Here is what I think I know.

Originally made in china, stainless. Small rectangular plastic slip sheath. These were given away with the big knives.

Next, USA stainless, better sheath, sold separately.

Newest, USA black finish. Sold separately.

Is everything above true?

Are there more versions?

Are the black ones carbon or stainless steel?

Was there an overlap of the three versions?

It's true, there is one you left out, a clear 1095 was before the black 1095 :thumbsup:

Top Stainless middle and bottom 1095cv :thumbsup: These 3 are all usa :D
 
I saw reference to a bead blasted version. In post 19 of the link Warrior posted in his reply above (post #2 in this thread). I'm wondering if that's the stipled version?

not really sure. they're solid protos. good design and size.

jerry fisk makes something close in s30v though. very thin. quite nice.

Ethan has more than a few designs waiting in the wings from over the years. not all of them make it.

i will mourn the BK15 though, oh my yes
