I'd like to say I DO NOT BATON I REPEAT I DO NOT BATON lol sorry had to clear that up anyways
I'm putting together a bushcraft/bugoutbag/wildernesssurvival setup
I ALREADY have the bk9, shaxe2L, baco lap saw included in my kit BUT now looking for a smaller bushcraft knife and I'm kind of stuck between these two..

Any comments are appreciated,
also new to the forum
THANKS

If you wanted to replace the bk9 and other tools then the bk2 might be a good choice but as a companion knife to the bk9 or as a stand alone bushcraft knife the bk16 is going to be much better and more versatile

16. If you have a 9, there is no way you need a 2 also. If you wanted to go a little lighter, then a 14/24/11 would be a great option to pair with the 9 as well.

Not even close. BK16. The BK2 is more of a sharpened prybar than a knife.

With no hesitation what so ever, I would choose the BK-16. The BK-9 and BK-16 are a good combo if you are willing to carry them.

Bk16 is way to go If pairing with a 9, the 2 is more of a standalone one knife option....

I love my 16 and edc it in a kydex sheath , but for the sake of options the tops BOB also pairs well with a 9.

Thanks for all the feedback!! Bk16 was what I was leaning towards maybe I'll make another thread titled "best companion for bk9"

Leaning, but not buying or choosing.....? There are gobs of nice middle sized (~4") fixed blades that work with the BK-9. One of the least expensive choices would be in the Mora line.

Without a doubt...neither. Why those if you already have the heavy hitters? Do you like carrying dead weight? ;) Get a stainless mora and call it. In fact the saw and the mora would be all I would take.

The BK2 is a great hard use blade but I can't imagine it being a good choice for bushcraft. I agree with getting a mora, in fact for the price get a couple and decide which works best for you.

Exactly my thoughts! Go with the 16.

Given that you're not going to baton and have a saw and BK9, I would go with a BK15. A camp knife that can step up and due harder duty stuff with ease. Even a little batoning.

Well you imagine incorrectly, the bk2 works just fine as a Bushcraft knife. Just isn't the best option here given what op is going for.

!!!! Wow great work Bobby!

I'm in a cold sweat thinking about how easy a spark would just burst those feather into flames

Thanks!!!

It truly didn't take much for em to burst into flames....these ones went up in seconds as well...

Bk16 is a great lil Bush knife as well...I'd honestly take it over my mora.
