I recently purchased a BK2 and told myself I wasn't going to go apes#%t modifying it. Just leave it black with the Grivory, sharpen it and use it 'til it's busted. As I was looking around my house for a pouch to attach to the sheath, I found an old digital camera case. It attached easily with a couple zip ties. It was a tad bulky, so on the family shopping trip to the local Walmart, I spied a new camera case that was more suitable to my needs, a Lowepro Volta 20, unencumbered by buckles or straps, just a couple of tough zippers. It adds less than an inch to the profile of the original sheath, yet still holds an Altoids tin with room to spare. I've decided to forgo the altoids tin for simpler storage. A Maratac AA, Victorinox Mechanic and a mini Bic with a package of Tinder Quick fire tabs.

The beauty of the whole thing is If I decide it's not what I want, we can just use the case for our digital camera, and it still cost less than any of the Maxpedition or ESEE offerings.

Looks good. I really like the idea of having a pouch attached to a knife sheath.

Comes in very handy if you have to ditch your pack or wonder away from camp and need some items.

good use of gear on hand man! Reminds me I need to check my surplus stash.

I was rummaging around today for something EXACTLY like this. Although I didn't think digital camera bag. Clever.

Nice to see you got yourself a BK2. Great job on the mod. I may have to look into that. Now, how long before you stipple the grips ? LOL

Keep your eyes open at the dollar stores as well. I picked up a "camera" case just like this, only by an off brand, for like $2 at the local Dollar General. (I picked it up at one point to do the same thing, but the BK2 Box kinda made it obsolete.)
