Sheathing

right off the bat, i didnt care for the sheath, when its on your belt it wants to lean back

BK2 test 6 by gundude73, on Flickr

and when its unbuckled it goes horizontal

BK2 test 7 by gundude73, on Flickr

in sheath retention is good though.

BK2 test8 by gundude73, on Flickr

Out of the box edge

not too bad, the belly was sharper than the rest of the edge

After Test Thoughts

edge retention was pretty good, still shaved hair (albeit not as well)

BK2 test 26 by gundude73, on Flickr

all in all its an awesome knife and i like it quite a bit

coating wear wasnt too bad, it wore but not terribly so.

Nice review. I really like my 2. Thanks for taking the time to post it up for us.

i did split it, had to get one of those wood spikes and a sledgehammer. the wood background for the pre use glamor shot is off that cedar stump. its also what the BK2 is stuck into for one of the end shots.

nice. the 2 is awesome. you think your gonna strip her? i like the coating to look at brand new but i hate the minute it scratches up and strip right away, sometimes right out of the box. nice review. btw is there a dark line in the micarta on the top and bottom of the handles? or is just the light?

not gonna strip it. i like the rust protection it offers

that isnt the light, there is a dark line on both side of the micarta. pretty cool IMO.

Nice review, I love the bk2. I'm curious where you got those micarta grips from though, most of the ones I've seen are a light yellowish color. Yours is a nice brown color.

Nice review. Now try the knife on a buick or train; ok a honda will work to.

If you don't want the grivory you can send 'em to me with a bunch of caudos ;) :D

Hey gundude if your looking for a kydex i got one from crks listed in the gadgets exchange. $5 off for beckerheads (that means all beckerheads) ...didnt mean to step on your thread just wanted to make you aware

of course if your not interested no worries my man

That variation in color on the Micarta seems to change with different batches. I've got 3 or 4 sets of the standard ones and they don't look like that one there. I do have two sets that look exactly like that one there and those two sets are on my BK77"s. Maybe he got an old set.

im not sure how old the micarta is. but i sure do like it. :)

thanks for the comments guys!
