I know alot of people have the BaliYo but I was on SpydieGuys website and saw the black one for $8 shipped! Why is this one so much cheaper then the others and does anybody have one and how does it hold up to regular flipping?
 
It's the Chinese version. I never held one so I couldn't compare.
 
If it is any cheaper than the regular bali-yo watch out...I have the real one, and I must say, I can think of better things to have spent my money on. Mine sits prominently in my desk drawer. It never flipped well, writes worse, caries poorly, and just plain looks awkward.

Don't get me wrong, Spyderco is probably my favorite production knife company...but the bali-yo just didn't do it for me.

I cannot imagine, if it is a knock off, that is quality will be even close. I would say save your money.

It's $8 so I really don't see me losing anything, worst case I don't like it and add it to my Balisong collection.
 
I have the Black Bali-Yo, and now I want one of the nicer ones.

It is a great toy if you are always fidgeting with something in your hands.

I made up a non-trick, and I do helicopter spins, and that can keep me occupied for days... : )

Il it's made of different material and less qualityI'm trying to get one myself for 10$ shipped
 
I got one and the plastic around both the weights cracked so if I flip it anymore they will just fall out.

Been meaning to contact Spyderco, they seem like a good company and this was obviously a flaw in the product. The plastic is way too think around the weight to hold up to just some casual flipping.

Oh well, $10 gone
