Having trouble choosing between black micarta vs natural micarta for my future crk inkosi purchase. Your opinions are appreciated

My vote is for black micarta. “Natural” is frequently--or usually--a reddish color. My Inkosi has natural inlays that are half-way between maroon and red. IMO, the black is more in line with the color of the Ti scales, so it makes for better aesthetics. I’ve got a new Sebenza 31 with black micarta inlays on order. If the natural inlays were that golden straw type color similar to kevlar fabric, I might be tempted to go for them.

My choice would be the natural. They do tend to run maroon-ish. I’ve personally yet to see the more golden color that You see on some dealer sites. I’ve had a few black inlays as well and they all vary also. All will darken with use but most of the time you can scrub with warm water soap and a rag and they’ll come back close to how they came from factory. But they’ll darken again. My personal favorite is the red micarta tho. Idk if you’ve looked at it. It will come down to personal preference tho. 6B9A778A-8C3A-41D2-A00A-8AEE40611B76.jpeg

I like black canvas micarta.
I don't like natural canvas micarta.
Since I already have an inkosi, it doesn't matter which color you get. Wait - it doesn't matter which you get IF you're getting an insingo blade. If you're going for the drop point, you should get natural (just in case I decide I want one... wouldn't want you to get mine ;) )

I like natural over black normally ... but on CRKs as inlays black everyday for me ...

When i was about to buy mine I was set on black, but I own too many black things so I decided on natural and I'm happy I did. The color looks a lot better in person than on any pics I've seen.

Thanks for the input guys im probably gonna drive to my nearest CRK dealer to check them out in person but right now leaning towards natural

That’s probably a good idea. Your lucky to have a nearby dealer. Not one for few hours around my neck of the woods

They all darken with use. When I work, I usually use gloves. They get dirty, and so does the micarta inlay. Also, be mindful that the dye in denim will get on the micarta. As Dcdavis Dcdavis stated, you can wash the micarta. I plan on doing it to this one when it gets dirty enough.

Personally when it comes to micarta I'm a sucker for OD green although I'm not sure how that would fit with the design of a CRK but I think it would be a cool option. My small 21 has Ebony wood inlays but I would prefer micarta.

As far as natural versus black I'd probably go with the black myself as it hides dirt better but either are nice choices.

An OD green would be great. Maybe somewhere down the line they’ll make one
