Blackening Stainless Steel?

Just needed some tips on what would be the best way to blacken stainless steel (if there is a way!). I am using screws that are stainless steel and I think that black heads on the screws would look better with the handle material. Are there any ways of doing this? Thanks!

I was reading thru this forum recently and saw a thread discussing this same topic. I saved this link from the thread.

It's for Caswell's "Black Oxide Kit". Lower on the page is another product called "Stainless Steel Blackener 370"
I have not tried either of these products yet.

Thank you to whoever originally posted that link.

The black oxide kit actually says it won't work on stainless steel; that has been my problem. I can find many products that blacken a variety of metals, but not stainless steel. There is a stainless steel blackener on that website though that looks promising. It's the first I've seen that said it would work on stainless steel. Thanks!

Caswell plating is a good place for all your coating needs, I have and use the Black Chrome plug and plate. It works pretty good, they have live help and good instruction.
