Blackside Customs Wakizashi

Hi Everyone,
Long time sword/knife collector here. Pretty deep collection of Busse, CPK, Helm, MMHW, Dawson, ZU Bladeworx, Giedymin, Criswell, and blades purchased from smaller individual bladesmiths.
Does anyone have much experience with Blackside Customs blades? I have noticed them poping up for a few years and been more than a little tempted. Recently they released a small wakizashi(almost a tanto in my opinion) and I was wondering what the consensus is on this blademaker and the quality and long term value. Trying to not buy anything that doesnt at least beat inflation as far as long term value.

I know nothing about the blade itself, besides the fact that Blackside makes some cool stuff, but I do know that trying to conduct divination on future values of knives is folly.

Buying knives for the purpose of value-retention is about as fruitless an endeavor as reading chicken entrails. You're better off buying knives you like, and knives that are useful to you, and leaving the storing of wealth to precious metals and stocks.

It sounds like you have an extensive collection already, and should be more than capable of making the decision to purchase the knife or not on your own expertise.

If you think it's a good knife, buy it. If you don't, don't buy it. No one here is going to be able to tell you anything you don't already know in terms of its value retention.
