Blackwell Forest Preserve

This place is one of my favorite in the area. Often one could find me hiking, canoeing/kayaking or at the archery range. This is from a hike of a few of the trails I did in mid May. There is a great new archery range here and a large hill suitable for sledding during winter. Also I like to bike (Trek 7300fx) to this forest via the massive trail system that is crushed limestone and links many area preserves.

Great place to fish and they have family camping. BIG Walleye in Blackwell.

and yes this is a local favorite of mine. Weekends get a bit crowded but luckily I typically come early mornings and on weekdays.
