This place is one of my favorite in the area. Often one could find me hiking, canoeing/kayaking or at the archery range. This is from a hike of a few of the trails I did in mid May. There is a great new archery range here and a large hill suitable for sledding during winter. Also I like to bike (Trek 7300fx) to this forest via the massive trail system that is crushed limestone and links many area preserves.

Starting out with some nice flowers...
Marsh area. Trails may be flooded out at times.
Flowers on way up the hill
Top of hill view!
The new Archery Range. Youth Range (25 yards) Olympic Range (100 Yards) and Open/Wooden Range (Random distance)
Several rivers and lakes around
Sometimes nature has a way to frame itself.
A flower of spiderweb!
Some of my favorite hiking blades... Spyderco H1 Salt and RAT 4 (ESEE)
This is the first of many of my summer adventures.
Thanks for looking!
