Did anyone make it to Blade Show this year? What all did you get?

I got another CRK Large inkosi Tanto and a knife made by "Empty Tomb Forge". The guy was really nice and the knife seems well made. Especially for what I paid.

I stuck with the big vendors today. Tomorrow I will browse the tables.

Had a great time there today. SO much to look at. SO many great people to talk to. Missed a small chunk of the show, but no more time to go back.
Favorite parts:
Tara, super informed on kitchen knives. Nicole at Bradford. The special show editions at Southern Grind. (Really wanted a SE Penguin, but couldn't.) Demos of sharpening systems, though I still can't decide. Big Idea Design. The custom makers, of course.
Kinda fun to show off my North Arm Skaha II to a few folks who'd never seen one.

Also got to handle a Case Longhouse. I've been intrigued with this one since I first saw a picture of it. Gotta admit, the first one I handled was hard to open and way off center. Needed a tune up, I guess. The second one was nice. It's on the list for someday.

If you like folder opening and locking gizmos, check out Winterblade at table 2516 in the Baller room. They had prototypes for an auto open and close folder, a cool OTF, and some other really cool mechanisms.

Scored a Bunch of handle material and am negotiating with a damascus maker for something exciting....will be in the pit tonight wearing a teal Hawaiian shirt drinking bourbon.
