I'm not sure if this is the right section or not. If it's not I'm sorry and someone should move it to the appropriate place.

Anyways a friend of mine is looking for a bladed tonfa. Ive googled it and have seen pictures of them, so i know they exist, but haven't been able to come across any for sale. If someone could point me in the right direction I'd very much appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

i'm pretty sure that hes looking for something like this........

He is in a style that utilizes the tonfa, and he knows how to use it. But, he wants this one just for show. Anyone have anything else? that one looks like a pos.

There won't be many avialable, and any that are for sale would be fantasy SLOs (sword-like objects, just for show) since they are not real martial arts weapons and were made for movies, most popularly from "Hellboy" but first seen in "9 Deaths of the Ninja," one of the "best" of the bad 1980s martial arts movies. :D You could look for a custom maker who'd be willing to make one or try making one yourself.

IMO it would be better to just learn FMA if one wants to learn bladefighting and get a couple of bolos, barongs, or kris. FMA is actually not that difficult to learn since they usually don't draw out the training as long as some other systems.

balisong084: I saw some bladed tonfa in the September 06 (this month's)
Smoky Mountain Knife Works Catalog, or you can check them out online by
going to:

http://www.eknifeworks.com

then in the search box, type in tonfa and they will come up.

These might be neat for display or for practice, but if your friend is caught
with them on the street, I think he will encounter mucho trouble, particularly
legal........

thanks everyone, I really appreciate it. The one that nighthawk posted is the coolest one IMHO. Thanks again.
