whats wrong with s45vn?I really hope they switch to this steel ASAP! It's nice that they finally started using S45 but that doesn't exactly cut it for the premium folding knife manufacturer. CRK should at least be using M390. Get with the times!
Nothing wrong. Spyderco is replacing S30V with S45VN. It's practically USA entry level now and here this top end maker (CRK) is using it on $400 knives.whats wrong with s45vn?
Do you think Tim meant in the next couple of weeks?I don’t see them switching over too soon, Tim said down the road and they just made a change! It does sound promising though for down the road.
That's why God gave us Ford, Timex, and CRKT. Something for everybody. Those CRK's were starting at $6000. Absurd. ..... Sorry, I don't see it.
They were for high end collectors who could afford it, not for everyday knife guys. When the Magnacut version comes out in regular production it will be normal priced. Those CRK's were starting at $6000. Absurd. Great if you are a multimillionaire that makes enough interest every day on their money to not be phased by the price, but for the average person it doesn't strike me as a particularly wise "investment". I mean, 6K is a brand new rifle in pretty much any caliber including .50 BMG.
Or a great .308 (or whatever similar caliber you like), great sidearm, and $3000 left over. Sorry, I don't see it.
Two out of three of those usually have a lot of problems...That's why God gave us Ford, Timex, and CRKT. Something for everybody.
And my timex works fineTwo out of three of those usually have a lot of problems...
Yep, that's the one I was thinking aboutAnd my timex works fine
is this just camera tricks or is that a lefty in the first picture? I didn't think there was any lefty's made.If anyone has them post some pictures.
Personally I would love to give Magnacut a shot in this platform.
They looked stunning on the videos.

Did they actually sell for $6k at the show or is that what they are going for now?The inlays is what make them 6k isn't it?
That is WAAYYYYYYY too rich for me. I hope whoever bought one is really happy with it.Those CRK's were starting at $6000.
I'm fairly sure that was the new price even at KC.Did they actually sell for $6k at the show or is that what they are going for now?
