At the risk of being drummed out of here anyone have a favorite blister pack knife?
I was just in NC visiting my sister-in-law and my brother-in-law when I saw a knife sitting on the kitchen counter, it had a nice look, clip and thumb stud, I asked my B-I-L where he got it, he said he probably confiscated it (he has a PT job as a bouncer at a club). I look up the brand on-line Appalachain Trail.....look around on line and come across one for sale on "the bay"...A two knife set (3" and 2") blister pack....under $10 with shipping....so I get it,
Its a decent looking knife and came really sharp. Fits nice in the pocket.

Anyone else find a decent "blister pack" knife?

Some Kershaw knives are blister packed right? I have seen skylines blister packed and I have one on the way as a present to my mother.

Only knife I have that was in a blister pack was a Remington F.A.S.T knife. I put it through hell! And it is still going strong. But it does not compare to any of my other knives though.

If I like the knife, I wouldn't care how it was packaged. Being blister /bubble /clamshelled pretty much guarantees that it hasn't been messed with or used.

There were some old Colonials and Camco's IIRC that used to come in a blister pack, hard to find these days.

Victorinox, Kershaw, Buck, CRKT, Case, SOG, Blade-Tech, Leatherman all sell stuff in blister pack. What does it mean? Probably whatever you want.

Dougkn, you probably could have found those same knives at Wallyworld in the camping section for the same price. Sme people, collectors of high quality knives (subjective term) prefer boxes. I don't really mind one way or another. I will say that I doubt many companies would use blister packs on knives over $100 or so.

Kershaws Tremor in a B pack from a bricks and mortar, or Blackhawk Mark II's or I's E-Type (made in Taiwan, amazing F&F) from a local knife pusher (also bricks and mortar)... :D

Some stores have Buck knives in blister packs around here, picked up a Bantam earlier this year for around $15.
Although the 110 and 119s in plastic packaging had the nylon sheaths, i prefer the box and leather sheaths...

Last month i picked up this Opinel at a local place:

Like every one already said, kershaw and victorinox (do leathermans count?) also I seem to remember 3riverblades on youtube showing a brous blades silent soldier in a blister pack...IIRC it was just a concept and they nevery actually put them in blister packs.

Buck, Victorinox, Leatherman. That's about it. I used to avoid them all or make the clerk open it (which did not sit well). Now that I have the skill and tools to sharpen it properly, and considering even some very good knives don't come sharp enough to suit me, the blister pack is actually less of a deterent than it once was. If it's dull, I'll sharpen it, if it's sharp, I'll still sharpen it, if it's broken or bent, I'll take it back.

The only blister pack knife I have is an orange Cabela's Skyline which I like fine, can't say I've seen others that interested me

Blister packs have proven to be a valuable means of selling products- people purchase what they can see-we used to call clamshell-blister packs "the silent salesman" the sales of knives tend to be much less when locked in display cases.
