Does anyone know where the Winchester series are made? I am a large fan of the moose pattern and they are going to release that pattern. I prefer to only to purchase products made in America. Any help will be very much appreciated

I'm afraid I can't help you Al, but it's great to see you here my friend :) I'm sure someone will know

You know, that seems to be one of the biggest mysteries of all times. Winchester claims they're made by Bluegrass, but as far as I know Bluegrass doesn't actually manufacture anything themselves. My theory is that they assemble knives from parts bought from Fiskars / Gerber or Utica. I haven't handled any Winchesters made in the last couple of years, so I can't really swear that I know what I'm talking about.

If it is domestic manufacture, surely they will claim that, even if they don't divulge who actually made them.

I don’t think Blue Grass and SMKW are the same folks. I’m pretty sure that Blue Grass is (in some way that isn’t very clear) affiliated with the guy who bought all the old Queen machinery and is making Schatt & Morgan knives in Ohio.

Reaper AL Reaper AL you mentioned they “are going to release” the moose pattern, just curious where you heard/saw that? From what I can see, their website was last updated in February of 2021, and their last Facebook post was in 2016.

On the back cover of blade magazine. I emailed them and they said I could call and place an order.before I make that move I would like to find out where they are manufactured

I guess you could always just ask them. Their website says “Quality Knives Made in the USA” but no other information is given. I wonder if they’d divulge any additional information. (My guess is no, but hey, you never know.)

He sold the Queen/Queen City names and intellectual properties to SMKW/Bluegrass, keeping S&M for himself.

I don’t remember all the details, but I’ll maintain that I don’t believe SMKW (based in TN) and Blue Grass Cutlery (based in OH) are the same company.

I may be remembering incorrectly, but I thought it was Blue Ridge that SMKW owned and not Bluegrass.
You're probably right. It's blue something or other...
I edited my posts and'll get lost. sorry
