I got myself a "Boker Plus Limited Edition 2024 Advent Calendar - Aphex Mini, button Lock" and so far, it is great. 24 little tiny boxes, each with a little surprise.
I think that I already know what is in the majority of the remaining days, but even so, please do not post any spoilers.

(and YES, I am honestly not opening the boxes early... but I did watch the Boker Video...)

It has a D2 blade instead of the VG10 of the Aphex Mini framelock, but getting a button lock is worth it.

I don't own any button locks... well I do NOW.

Side note for those of you who need to hide purchases from your spouse (which thankfully I am not), this Advent Calendar is PERFECT for that... but because it will bore the $*!^ out them. It comes with three different sets of scales , three different sets of inlays and two different clips. As you open each day and show them one scale after another... and one inlay after another...one clip after another. You can dress this thing up any way you want... and in doing so you could use this as camo for buying other sharp toys.

No... that isn't a new knife... I just used different scales on the Advent Calendar knife....

Anybody else have one of these (or the 2024 Haddock)?

Day 12 - Today I got a clip (and blanking plate) and have enough parts to "complete" the first version of the knife.

Bead blasted steel scales with green micarta inlays and a bead blasted clip. Nice!

... and the first option: Clip or blanking plate

I considered the Haddock, but I like small knives (3 inch) and I don't have a button lock, but now that the calendars are on sale... maybe ...

You got a coin??? I am still hoping for some non-build goodies.

You didn't say... but I am guessing the Haddock days were....

1 - Liner - show
2 - Liner - back
3 - Sharpener
4 - screws
5 - Spring and tool
6 - Locking bar
7 - Blade (One hand opening)
8 - Scale - show
9 - Scale - back
10 - Bolster - show
11 - Bolster - back
12 - Coin

Without spoiling it for you (I watched a video on it last month LOL), I can tell you that yes, there are a few nonbuild goodies in there.

Day 13 and today I got my second non-build goodie. The first was the sharpener, today was a challenge coin. I have seen the one that comes with the Haddock, but have intentionally avoided spoilers on the Mini Aphex.

Day 14 and I got what I wanted, a solid micarta scale. It is likely that I will get the back side micarta scale tomorrow, and that will be my final configuration. I prefer a lighter weight knife and unpainted clip so trading the steel scales for micarta will be great. Also, the magnetic inlays look great, but shift around a tiny amount which doesn't feel right to me.

The knife looks interesting today... the show scale is black micarta, tha back side scale is bead blasted steel with a green micarta inlay.

I made the mistake yesterday of hitting the BladeHQ web site, and their photos of this product completely spoil the contents.

Day 16

Yesterday (Day 15) it was expected, the back side micarta scale and an opportunity to build my final configuration (micarta scales and natural clip). The weight is 73 grams (2.55 oz), so with a blade length of 2.99 inches, it qualifies as a lightweight knife.

Today (Day 16) brought my thrid non-build goodie, a small Lucas Burnley rubber morale patch.

Day 18

Yesterday and today were black micarta scales, but with a window so they can be used with the inlays. Nice. I was expecting steel, but NOPE.

Day 22

Day 19 - Black clip and black screws to go along with the nice black scales
Day 20 - Brass inlay (show side) - these little buggers have some weight to them
Day 21 - Brass inlay (back side)
Day 22 - Tube bandana - the third (and last) non build goodie.

Two days left

Day 24

Day 23 and 24 brought natural brown micarta inlays.

We bring this calendar to an end, and I really enjoyed it.

I knew that liked the look and specs of the knife before I started. The build and the extra goodies were a bonus. I am glad that I did it this year, as the knife filled a hole in my collection, but will have to see the specs on the 2025 Advent calendar knives before I would do it again.

Bottom line? If you like the knife... go ahead, buy the calendar and build it

Now... we wait for the Fat Man...
