I got myself a "Boker Plus Limited Edition 2024 Advent Calendar - Aphex Mini, button Lock" and so far, it is great. 24 little tiny boxes, each with a little surprise.
I think that I already know what is in the majority of the remaining days, but even so, please do not post any spoilers.
(and YES, I am honestly not opening the boxes early... but I did watch the Boker Video...)
It has a D2 blade instead of the VG10 of the Aphex Mini framelock, but getting a button lock is worth it.
1 Liners
2 WorkSharp "Micro Sharpener and Knife Tool"
3 Back spacer and "L" shaped Torx driver (T6 & T8)
4 Screws
5 Button and spring
6 Bearings
7 Blade
8 Scale - bead blast steel - show side
9 Scale - bead blast steel - back side (I assembled the knife)
10 Inlay - green micarta - show side
11 Inlay - green micarta - back side
12 Clip and clip plug - bead blasted (first fully assembled configuration)
13 Lucas Burnley Mini Aphex button lock challenge coin
14 Scale - black micarta - show side
15 Scale - black micarta - back side (built my configuration)
16 Lucas Burnley rubber morale patch
17 Scale - black micarta with window - show side
18 Scale - black micarta with window - back side
19 Clip - Black with black fasteners
20 Inlay - brass - show side
21 Inlay - brass - back side
22 Lucas Burnley tube bandana with picture of Aphex Mini, his trademark flower design and signature
23 Inlay - brown micarta - show side
24 Inlay - brown micarta - back side
I don't own any button locks... well I do NOW.
Side note for those of you who need to hide purchases from your spouse (which thankfully I am not), this Advent Calendar is PERFECT for that... but because it will bore the $*!^ out them. It comes with three different sets of scales , three different sets of inlays and two different clips. As you open each day and show them one scale after another... and one inlay after another...one clip after another. You can dress this thing up any way you want... and in doing so you could use this as camo for buying other sharp toys.
No... that isn't a new knife... I just used different scales on the Advent Calendar knife....
Anybody else have one of these (or the 2024 Haddock)?
