Boker: Impetus question

I've searched everywhere and I can't find any information on this question I have: What material is the bolster made out of on the Boker Impetus? I want an Impetus pretty bad and was wondering if I could heat/color the bolsters to change them up a bit, I know they have an "orange peel" finish and it doesn't look it's a textured coating but actually in the "metal".

Any help is appreciated.
 
Blade HQ Claims that they're stainless steel. I'm interested in one as well but I've heard that Boker Plus's quality control isn't that great. I'm in love with the design though. Might just have to try it out.

Yeah, I'll bet that's what it is and it makes sense. If I can't heat color it I'll live with it and also want to try one out, the quality control issue always comes up but every pic or post I've seen about this looks really good and it's kind of a simple design. If you end up with one before me post pics.
