hey! quick review of the latest addition to my collection.
the Boker Plus Gnome by Jesper Voxnaes
Overall length: 4"
Blade length: 2"
Weight: 2.0 oz.
Blade material: 440C
Handle material: olive wood (micarta and other options available)
price: around $55.00

my first thoughts on the knife were that it is surprisingly smaller than i had imagined, but don't be put off by the small size because as I came to find out, being small is the gnomes greatest feature. Vox designed the knife as an oval shape with a single finger notch and a full tang, half the knife being and the other half handle. it comes razor sharp out of the box and has a brush polished finish to the blade. I bought the one with a leather sheath and lanyard and comes in a nice magnetic latch box, the alternative being a composite plastic sheath and paracord lanyard. as a neck knife you hardly know it is there and has an excellent friction hold in the sheath. applications range from biltong (jerkey) knife, backup compact survival knife, last resort self defence and a handy general purpose. overall definitely recommended, my only problem is that i have big hands but the lanyard acts as an extension of the handle so i can deal with it. let me know what you all think of the Gnome or if i missed anything :)
