I had one of these last year but traded it off, and ever since then I have missed it. So about 5 minutes ago I hit the "confirm and order button" and it will be here next week.:D

This is a "made in China" knife, and normally I would turn my nose up at it. But after having the first one, I discovered that the Chinese Boker Plus knives aren't bad. This one had very nice and even blade grinds on both sides that were symmetrical all the way to the point. The blade finish was excellent with bi-directional satin finish, and the micarta handles were well done. The only thing I noticed was that the mosaic handle pins were a little rough, but some 1000 grit wet/dry touched it up. If I recall, getting old you know, even the leather sheath was nicely done.

Blade steel is 440C, but it has been my experience with the Boker Plus 440C that they do a good job. Knife came very sharp out of the box, and about a minute on my white Sharpmaker stones had it popping hair. The blade is 7.5" long and 6mm thick, which equates to .24", or about 1/4".

I had a Rampage that was made the same place out of the same steel that I also traded, but it also was a well done knife with the same excellent fit/finish as the Valkyrie showed. Here's hoping my next one shows up the same way!!:D

Btw, anyone else have this knife and what are your thoughts, good and bad!
