I just got this nice little 1064 pen in from the bay and I'm looking for a bit of information if you've got it.

I'm just curious what the story is on the US made boker tree brands , were these contract production or did boker have an American factory?
And around how old would this likely be?
I'm Thinking probably 70's-90's or so.

It apparently didn't leave the factory with very much of an edge, but it took a good one with minimal effort.
Should be a dandy little pocket knife, but I'll know after I get some use out of it.

I don't know if Boker USA had or has a manufacturing plant, or who they may have contracted with if they didn't.
Based only on examples I've seen that they put their own name on, I don't see Imperial, Ulster, or even Camillus making a knife to Tree Brand standards.
The Boker 'Tree Brand' has always been a premium/top quality brand, like for example, GEC is. Nothing against Imperial, Ulster, and Camillus, but they've never been known as a premium/top quality brand.

Maybe someone over in the Boker sub-forum might know if Boker USA made your knife in-house or contracted them, who with, and when?

Looks like a nice little knife. Good Score.

Your knife is likely from the 1977 to 1991 era, but not as early as the 60s, just based on some of the design features I see on your knife.

It's very hard to dig up reliable information on Boker knives, so take that with a grain of salt. They generally are good quality knives. My everyday knife is an old Henckels International stockman from the 80s that has been beat to heck.

Were there any Boker knives known to be manufactured in the US after Cooper Tool stopped production in 1983 ?

My suspicion was definately more 70's-80's because it just does not seem very old to me, I dont know what it is but it just doesn't have the appearance of much age to it.

Böker USA acquired Valley Forge in 1916. In 1921 they moved to a new factory in Maplewood, NJ. That factory produced knives marked Böker and Valley Forge. At some point the factory in Maplewood was closed (Böker USA was acquired by Wiss in 1969, and Wiss became part of the Cooper Group in 1978). Knife production was moved to Apex, NC, and continued until 1984.

Thanks for the info.

Now I suppose I just need to figure out if any knives were manufactured in Denver Colorado where Boker USA was supposedly reestablished by Boker Solingen or if the story ends in '84.

Either that or I can just consider it a 1980's knife.
