Boone & Crockett Buck 110 - Discontinued?

Wondering if anyone had any information on the Boone & Crockett Buck 110 knife and tin that Dick's Sporting goods have had the past years.

I've gotten one every year, usually around Christmas of the preceding edition year. Was the 2017 edition the last year for these? Dick's does not have 2018 editions.

I bought one at Dick's in October 2017 and got home and found it was the 2016 one. Was surprised they still had those in the store that late into 2017.

There were on sale in December at Dicks/F&S but I did not think there was a 2018 issued yet??

No 2018 yet. The 2017 had a bear on the tin and the 2016 had Teddy Roosevelt. There isn't a lot of love for the Boone & Crockett 110's, but I like them.

I bought one in 2016 and had it displayed on my desk in the man cave until the BCCI 101 sent it back to it's box. These are made and sent to Dick's for a Christmas gift idea. No 2018 yet....we are a long way to Christmas 2018....Right!

I'll keep watching their clearance section and if the Xmas Bear tin can 110 gets the discount, one will appear in my pile.

I've spoken with managers at two different stores and they don't even know why they haven't gotten them in yet. The usually get them in by black Friday of the preceding year. So the 2018's should have been in November of '17. The managers said they are at the discretion of the buyers. Maybe they did discontinue them because they still had 2016's in the stores and weren't selling.

...No 2018 yet....we are a long way to Christmas 2018....Right!

Talking with store employees is less than worthless. It is most likely they get the current year xmas sale items before black fridays sales. LOL, you believe what you want though!!!!

Don't be mad bro. Not believe, just going by past presidence of the past six years that I've gotten them. They won't get a 2018 edition item in a month before 2018 ends. Just like the 2017 editon came out in November of 2016. Auto manufacturers don't come out with 2018 models the end of 2018.

I got the Boone and Crocket 110...the collector tin from Dicks Sporting Goods. Merry Christmas!

A local Dicks sporting goods had a few tins of the Boone and Crocket 110. It only shows the knife, with just the black emblem on the blade to set it apart if I recall, for $40. Anyone know if these come with brown leather sheaths instead of black, that alone might interest me...

The ones at Dicks is a Boone and Crockett version with blade etching. Now I will have to go get a couple of the ones from Dicks as well. They show some locally in stock. Time to go shopping tomorrow.

All of the above cut and paste information showing they are out for Christmas time not January, Just saying or educating and not mad at all. Welcome to the Buck forum. I guess I should go to Walmart right now and start looking for the 2018 Christmas tins now then......Right? The knife market is not the auto market. They don't stamp 2018 on knives in August, or November of 2017.
