Bose Knives

Vince shot me a call this afternoon and talked about the different jigging patterns and how the old Remington bone, or Schrade bone if you will, is peach seed style, while other bone used will have a different pattern for the most part. Color can vary of course

New, old, no matter really, I'm just looking forward to getting it in hand.

Thanks Vince, always a pleasure to talk and catch up.

This knife sports some dynamite dark-green bone that's dyed and jigged by Shigeru Tozaki, a master cutler in his own right and admirer of Tony's knives. You can see Shigeru's work at http://www8.ocn.ne.jp/~s-tozaki/

Always a pleasure Jake. Take a look at that knife & bone

I see where Bret may have had some inspiration to make this swayback that I have. I'm working my way back through this thread and am seeing many great knives and collections. Very impressive!

Well...I received the stockman today and it's everything I expected and then some. I really like the look of this old bone and it should really pop once I get some lemon oil for it (see, I've been paying attention).

Congrats Jake, that's a beauty!
[Insert wolf whistle here]

Beautiful knife Jake. Congratulations.

Wow! That is an amazing knife! As good as they get right there! That just epitomizes everything great about slipjoint smoking. Th best hand made craftsmanship, beautiful looks from bone to shield to the angled bolsters, and a fantastic selection of blades with clip, spear and coping! Can't imagine a nicer pocket knife!

Thanks everyone, I'm really happy. It was inevitable that I'd own a Bose someday and the stockman was going to be the first.

Not the last though! I believe they call it the "rabbit hole" lol.

Has anyone heard of tonys calendar.

I heard he used to give it to close friends with picture s of knives on each month.

I will be interested in one.

Thanks

I was able to come to an agreeable deal for this DE Cattleman's Knife. Upon inspection, I promptly jumped and hit the ceiling! Broke the fan, damaged the drywall, probably concussed myself and I lost my sense of taste. I can see this one getting carried a whole lot.

The green bone is 10x better than in pictures. It has an indescribable deepness to it with some really cool streaks and specs along the smooth edges.

Swedges of course are the cream of the crop and that main blade just screams for action.
