Hey guys.

’m looking at getting a guardian 3 or 3.2.
They’re available in M390 and Magnacut.

Should I hold out until they have more magnacut available or does M390 hold an edge as long? I don’t beat on my knives. Maybe strip copper wire. Cut food. Rope sometimes. Cardboard and other general tasks.

3D handle or the standard one?
I love my ESEE Izula II. I will be carrying it in Kydex.

Lastly, false edge or full flat? Is there an advantage to the false edge? Most knives I gravitate towards are FFG but the false edge looks like an FFG but with a beveled spine.

I've found my Guardian 3 in Magnacut holds a very fine edge for an astonishingly long time, and is surprisingly easy to sharpen. Mine has the textured grip, very sure in the hand.

I bought a 3D G3 wharnie, carbon fiber scales, black oxide fasteners, Black DLC blade, small safe lok.

Well, I went with the Bradford Guardian 3.5 sheepsfoot in magnacut, dlc coated with natural micarta scales. I also bought a spare set of smooth carbon fiber scales and got it with a kydex sheath and got $15 off the order for omitting the leather sheath. I couldn’t find and or get the black coated blade with carbon fiber scales. So, that’s the order!

I like the knife, however....
The fasteners broke the included bits that came with my carbon fiber (extra) scales. I ended up having to grind a new groove down them into the thicker part of the bit and somehow it came loose. However, the bit damaged the fasteners so now they've got somewhat elongated holes. So, i ordered new fasteners just because i'm OCD like that, but the experience wasn't a great one. However, the blade is awesome. Fit and finish is great. Sheath is nice but doesn't have that usual kydex click, which is nice because while secure, it's quiet. I tried pull the dot loops and a spyderco g clip. The loops were a bit loose and the g clip i don't like how the triangle portion sticks out the bottom and stabs my thigh lol. So i ordered a tek-lok like attachment. We'll see how it goes.
