I have a SNG that will not break loose :grumpy:

-I have held a mini torch soldering gun to it for about ten mins, NO break'ie
-I have boiled her for a good 15 mins, NO break'ie

I did make a spanner, so I am getting a good grip on both sides. It is not moving at all. Its pimped so I'm not sure what Strider would do if I send it in?

Thanks in advance.

a little trick i used to use when replacing the rear sprocket on harleys was to put a steel pin the same size as the countersunk screw head on top of the screw and give it several good raps with a hammer. the shock will loosen up the locktite allowing for the screw to then be removed. it might work for you too. if you decide to try this make sure to have someone help you hold the knife stationary. make sure the bottom is supported as well before hitting on it.

not sure the materials on the knife but if they will take a little more heat give it to them, 200-300 is needed at least for the licktite

200-300 celcius or farenheit? If loctite starts melting at around at temperature, try a soldering iron.

start out with a small hammer and light blows. you can always go bigger but dont overdo it. i'm not sure how strong that screw is and you dont want to hit it too hard and pop the head off. make sure to hit it square too.

i dont know man loctite is good stuff you might want to sand it off

you gota be talking about a loctite product that isnt thread locker. the thread locker when exposed to air turns to a junky powder usually, it will cure nicely in a thread that is sealed but when you break it and let air get in it dries out and comes off
