Buck 101 Dates - please correct me if anything is wrong and I will update.


2016


First year 2016 - release around August by Copper and Clad. C&C was the first retailer to sale the 101.

First production runs were numbered; the first 100 knives were individually numbered (see post # 115 for an example).

2017

First year listed in the Buck Catalog 2017. First year Buck sold the 101 to the public.

2019

The last year of production of the regular issued Buck 101 is 2019.

2020

Discontinued


Special Factory Orders (SFO) / Limited Editions / One of a Kind

I have seen SFO / LE released in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

2016 - Copper and Clad. Various configurations.

2017 - BCCI knives - Post # 14

2017 - 1 of 100 David Yellowhorse "Let Freedom Ring". Handle is turquoise, brass, bloody jasper, aluminum and black jet. Includes glass top wood display case.

2018 - 1 of 13 Buffalo knife made by Joe Houser (?) - Post # 15

2018 - 1 of 18 Charcoal wood handle, G10 & red spacers made by Joe Houser - Post # 107

2018 - 1 of 1 ? [Smooth] Buffalo handle, brown micarta spacer (looks light brown with a yellowish tint) over red vulcanized paper made by Joe Houser - Post # 127

2019 - 1 of 1 Jigged Buffalo handle, bocote & turquoise spacers made by Joe Houser. " . . . made specifically for Buck's annual Factory sale . . ."

2020 - 1 of 24 Maple burl handle, ironwood & bloody jasper spacers made by Joe Houser.


Customs - not made by Buck / Joe Houser

2017 - 1 of 1 ? Customized by PP. "Yellow tree ring mammoth ivory" handles, file worked spin, etc. A 2017 knife. Customized in 2021 ?

2018 - 1 of 1. The above mentioned "1 of 13 Buffalo knife made by Joe Houser (?) - Post # 15", customized by JK. Bolster engraved, etc.

This fixed blade “101” ( or 110 )as far as i know is the first of 3 ? made in the custom shop the year they did 4 rivets , it is a smidgen over 4 inches
Leroy REMER has Verified that he made it. He said to look close and can see it was Multiple strikes of the Buck stamp

just a regular membership? naw, ya bascially got the first one ever made. that kinda makes ya the king of the club or at the minimum a founding member and on the club board of directors. 😁

pretty darn cool one too ya showed us. thanks Dave.

Only took about 40 years for it to come to production and then only for a few years before being discontinued. Go figure 🤔
 
110 Dave 110 Dave your 101 is the coolest Buck I've seen in a while. I am wondering if you have a regular production 101 and, if so, would you post a side by side pic of the two.

Super cool find Dave. Since you only collect 110's you can send that baby my way. That's one great looking knife. Everything about it yells out "custom".
