it was another good day rescuing Buck knives from the gun show. i have been wanting one of these since i began collecting Buck's. it is much smaller than it appeared in online pictures. it will be going on many hunting trips with me.

any idea on the age? im guessing late 70's, early 80's?

Wildcat, a great find.That model came out in 1976. With the open top sheath. Looking just like yours. Yours has the convex grind near the edge, so yours has to be the first year or second. I have seen some with a script stamp. But most were the block numbers like yours. Those found with black micarta are more rare.
A lot of folks purchased them for small game and fish use. But I used mine to field dress a lot of deer. Thanks for showing us your Buck model. DM

Nice find! Great little knife for sure. I wish Buck would bring it back.

When you hit the button to post. The system lags. If you wait it goes through. If you keep hitting the “button” you get multiple posts when the system catches up.
