I wear the terms "geek" and "nerd" as badges of honor! So, after following the thread about belt-carry of larger folders, I started noting all the various differences I found in my collection of Buck 110 leather fold-over snap flap sheaths. I counted eight variations:

Some vary by belt loop size and/or location. Some by logo. Some by location of or lack of the "110". While most have rivets, two don't. So check what's in your drawer and post pictures of other variations that you discover. Thanks for watching! T-A

Thanks for the link. That's a wonderful and informative page that I had not seen before. Comparing my sheaths to those pictured, I think at least 3 of mine are dated later than the 22 year period (1964-86) that the article covers. Some of my remaining 5 seem to match those pictured, but not all. The sheath in the upper right hand corner of my photo lacks the "110" designation completely. I guess what's more amazing than the many variations is just how similar recent sheaths are to the early ones. Thanks for your input. T-A

yes Sir.

Micheal has an account here. I've seen him in the Buck forum here in the past, not recently though. It's a great resource of the older 110s, packaging and sheaths. there's a bunch of fellas in the Buck forum that could add a lot of pictures. I could bout add a half dozen different 110 modern sheaths myself to the thread, but I have to gather them up and take pics and I'm feeling lazy tonight.....
