I had a queen D2 knife that was tin behind the edge. After setting the final bevel to an actual cutting angle, it looked really tall. Think of it like dragging the shoulders high up the blade to get a more acute cutting edge. It looks like it was done well, same height along the whole blade. My queen mentioned above was not that was as the blade varied in thickness along it's length. Buck does a better job with their QC and consistent manufacture.
Nice knife OP. Can't decide if it's for me. I would love that in a 110 size.
