Picked up a buck 118 ? 2 line, knife is in great shape and so is the sheath . Im a little lost sheath has no model # and leather is thinner than my other sheaths and buck is embossed different. Can't find any info on it . Will post pics tomorrow .

Buck added the USA to the stamp in 1968. Which is about the time perhaps a year later we saw model numbers start to appear
on the sheath. So yours was outside that era. Glad you got a early 118. DM

I'm not sure, you may have to be a Gold Member?? Read the rules or there are sticky notes, a yellow highlight on my computer, that will help you...

Well I'm not spending 30 bucks to post pics of a mint buck knife i only spent 30 dollars on.I did learn some good info and thanks for your help .

You could use an image hosting site for free. I think we would all love to see it. Nice score.

Go to PostImage and in about two minutes and for free you can be posting pictures of Buck 118 Personal fixed blade knives without even being a computer genius! Everyone loves pictures of the Buck 118. OH

Put the old one in the hands of a collector. You can get your money back, buy a new 118, to use, and still have $10 profit. Sounds like a win, win, situation to me.

Sell it? The edge holding ability of my Two Line is phenomenal - I wouldn't trade it for another (I have the Buck 118 in 5160, D2, 440C, 425MOD, 420HC). They're all great deer hunters knives but I'll take my Two Line over any of them. OH

guy offered me 100 dollars for the 118 ? That's 70 more then I paid should I take it and run ?

I wouldn’t, you’ll end up spending more to get a new one with similar steel to the old ones. But if you think it’s a fair price, why not?
