Thinking of getting rid of my 124. She's not a safe Queen and wasn't when I got her. Def has some scuffs and dings. I guess im
here to see if i should be talked out of it. It's touted as a survival knife but i've heard and seen mixed reviews in how tough it is. Should i keep it or sell or trade for something different?

I’m sure those reviews are from all kinds of users and some probably abuse theirs on a regular basis. I have one that I’ve used camping and doing some brush and limb removal. It has been plenty tough and going strong. I’ve seen videos of guys batoning with a 124 and it didn’t have any problems. I don’t baton with my knives and have a 108 froe and a hatchet for that chore.

I believe it depends on how you want to use it or abuse it but I’ll bet the 124 can take some heavy use for a long time. There’s plenty of them out there that have been working for decades now and probably will out last their owners. Lol

IMHO, the 124 wins hands down especially in the aesthetics...but then I've bee a Buck fanboy for many years.
