So, did Buck only make these in 2014 or continue them as sort of a commemorative thing? I still see them at a few dealers and Amazon. Seems like they would be sold out by now unless them made thousands of them. Like the look of the Buck shield on the side

They did make many thousands of them in 2014. :)
As far as I know the 50th was only made in 2014. I don't know if they had leftover parts going into 2015 that they used up.
I do know my 110 with the 2015 date code does not mention the 50th Anniversary on any part of it.

There was a small run in early 2015 using up the remaining 2014 50th blades. Later this evening I'll go look up the build date, the ones I know of all had the same date.

I also find it interesting that they portrayed the modern 4 pin knife on the shield rather than the 1964 version. I guess I would have used the original design in the shield for the anniversary model.

The Ace Hardware near me has had a 50th anniversary 110 in their display since 2014. I glance at it when I go there to see if they put it on clearance.

So far, they're still asking $49.95 so there it will sit.

My local Ace here in Baltimore does not even have knives but Tractor Supply does stock the basic Buck 110 and a half dozen different Case models. $49.95 is low compared to what most online dealers want for these now. I like the looks of them but will probably just add a drop point 110 5160 now to go with my clip version.

"Almost" every 110 made in 2014 received the 50th treatment. How many 110's does eBay make a year? 100,000? More?
They will never be that special regardless of the eBay hype.

I have a 50th 110 somewhere and if I remember right the box date was January 2015 and the blade is a first version.

Yeah, I don't really see it as a valuable collectable but like the look of the shield and the 110 is iconic and holds certain memories for me so it would be nice to have one commemorating its history

There are variations (stamps, handles, etc.) of the 50th Anniversary 110 that are difficult to find. They weren't all the same. And, when talking about price, demand is more important than production numbers. The 50th knives have always shown strong demand!
