Is anyone aware if Buck is still doing these?

In the past they would have kitchen cutlery on sale for Mothers Day and they didn't do that this year.

So I'm wondering if they are doing the factory authorized sale/ factory sale this year?

the factory sale is june 16-17-18 at the factory in post falls--dont know about anything else--i have not been out there since joe houser retired april 1st...
i assume they will not be doing the factory autorized sale if it has not been advertized by now... maybe last minute thing????

Thanks Craig!
... not since April 1st...? sort of a life change for you too huh?
Well at least they are doing the factory sale.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with there.

I have seen no promos on the other.
I was hoping they would still do the factory authorized sale they have in the past. ( 2x yr, Fathers Day and Christmas. )

I have some things in mind I'm holding out on purchasing.

I booked my vacation last year so that we could stop in during our road-trip to California but... no luck, border closed. Same for this year. 😟 If I can't make my first pilgrimage to the Buck factory for Father's Day next year, I may just have breakdown.

Factory sales up to 2020 were held as Employee Pricing event. 2020 seemed to be the year that changed. Quite a few knives were ebay price sourced. From what i remember a Buck 245 MWG was $260.00.
Buck/ Ron Hood Punk, Thug and Hoodlum 3 knife set was $900.00. I want to say these prices were to discourage re selling, but deals were being made outside the sale.

Some knives seemed to be employee pricing. There were some good deals to be had.
Buck Kitchen knives are usually good deals.
Custom knives are what they are as they are not std production.
I would typically save up and spend 3k to 6k every 6 months.
I wont be attending but im sure you will see Ebay listings pop up that week.

Maybe this year masks wont be required. Ive been vacinnated but still use a mask in respect of others.

It seems as tho Buck has taken some steps to control pricing at the retail level......and being a Buck dealer probably doesn't have the advantages it used to.

It was always good to see the knives those of you fortunate enough to live near the factory would bring home from the sale. And sometimes those of us here on the other side of the country would benefit as well... Thru resale, and even thru the factory authorized sale thru Buck's retailers.

I guess in time everything changes.

I agree with Mike about the masks. I too am fully vaccinated, and if me wearing a mask helps put nervous at risk people at ease..... I made their world a less stressful place.

I failed to get any pics of the outstanding Remington Salesman Sample bag. It came with 17 knives IIRC, but no R50032-B knives (made at Post Falls), all offshore knives. I tried like the dickens to buy just the bag but no dice. They had a pile of them. The bag would have held large fixed, large folding and small folding knives aplenty. It was tough beautiful black knife bag with a good shoulder strap. Did anyone partake? $250 was the deal.
