Is the Thorn's spine sharp enough to strike the firesteel or do you use the can opener?Yes, Came with the knife. Not sure if they all do. Ive only bought the one,
Does the Selkirk come with a striker? I don't see one when looking at internet photos.I believe that's the striker that comes with the Buck factory Selkirk fire starter.
It might be sharp enough to strike it. I would try but this knife came in and my wife pulled a ninja and put it in her collection. She would kick my AZZ if I tried it. lolIs the Thorn's spine sharp enough to strike the firesteel or do you use the can opener?

That's the link to it on bucks site. The can opener/striker has a notch for the fire steel
Thanks! That's a well thought out tool. Description says it's a bottle opener, but it looks like it would work on cans too.
I’ll post pictures of mine when I get home I got a nice set up
I got a 632 Mesa and added a kydex fire rod holder with a exotac fire rod works great the knife has a good 90 on the spine throws a good spark View attachment 1063805 View attachment 1063806
