Buck Redpoint, opinions?

I had posted in the general forum for suggestions on a knife with a bottle opener for a friend of mine. Besides the SAK electrician I was interested in the Buck Redpoint. I think it's pretty handy to have to bottle opener available w/out having to open something and it looks like it could make a handy EDC. My buddy is an electrician but I've never seen him carrying a knife on him on a daily basis. That's probably why when he comes over and helps himself to a brew I end up having to pop the top for him. I tend to use what ever's handy, just grip the bottle by the neck for leverage and use what ever EDC is on me at the time to pop off the top.

Anyone here have any comments on the Redpoint? Honestly, I wouldn't get this knife for me, I'll stick with my old 110 and I'm really lovin the new Gen 5 skinner I just treated myself to. It's only been on a couple of hunting trips but I'm already impressed. Anyway if anyone out there has an opinion on the Redpoint I'd love to hear it. Thanks.

The Redpoint is a nice little knife. The bottle opener works well and it has a cool opening machanism. It sounds like it would work well as an EDC for your friend. Plus you dont have to take to much paper out of your wallet to get one:)

Thanks for the input hengem, it's going to be a tight Christmas this year and a knife like the Redpoint still fits in the budget. I think I'll have to check it out on delivery, I am curious about the opening mechanism. So many knives so little $$
