Sent another batch off to Joe H and his rework team. Last batch came back with a white residue on knives no one seemed to be able to tell what substance was as Joe said their polishing compound was a green one just wondering if anyone else received back from Spa with same residue? I will share picks later when they arrive back from Spa.

1-112 First version
1-112 Second version
2-119 Elusive's
1-500 Duke Early
3-110's Early 2 liner's

Never recall having a white residue, normally black at backspring and lock release.

Nice assortment is going back. Look forward to the pics. Good luck.

Yes and Thanks these will be the second batch to go to buck and will have quite a few more to go as I am starting to reduce the amount of knives and having the keepers redone by buck and then slowly decide which one's to let go will show bucks magic when they get back from the SPA

How do you know how much the spa treatment will cost and how do you pay for it? Do you need to call first or just send the knives attention Joe H?

I send more then one at a time I believe it is $7 per knife with return shipping on buck I send my knives with a blank check made to buck and they charge a little less because of the amount of knives, send a note what you would like done to your knife and on your package put Attention Joe Houser you may want to address BK Inc instead of Buck knives so someone does not get curious and grab your knives then I follow up with an email to Joe to let him know a new batch is on the way Good Luck

I send the $6.95 per knife to Joe with a note to bill me for any overages and would pay by CC.

If I had to guess, it's probably diamond polishing compound. Besides Chromium Oxide (green), it's another compound that's commonly used by knife makers/factories who polish edges/blades with power equipment.
