Dear members,
Recently I got this very interesting early 2000s Buck Strider 880 knife for my collection... It just looked amazing, very tactical and superb. I did not know much facts about this knife to begin with..
The most interesting finding was about the blade. The blade material said: BG-42. I have never heard of such blade steel or seen in knives - steel called BG-42. Did some research... As it turns out due to aerospace demand for it (jet engine parts & pivots) this steel disappeared from the main street knife market..
I want to find more about this mysterious blade steel. Has any members here had any experience with it? What's your overall impression of it?
