I am in need of more super glue to make my stabilizing mixture and was thinking it would be cheaper to go in bulk. does any one know of a place where large quantity's can be found.

EZ Bond. I have 2 16 oz bottle of 5 cps (water), one of 300 cps, and one of 1500 cps (molasses) Also got 5 & 30 minute epoxies from them, small bottles, and plastic droppers, all from one order. It's all been sitting in my fridge forever, I need to get rid of it.

We used to buy it by the gallon at the hobby shop I worked at. Biggest issue when using quantities like that is it curing. Keep it cold and make sure caps are on. I think Zap and some of the other bottlers sell 8-16 oz pretty common. We bought the gallon containers straight from the company and it's been a long time so I can't remember the name, Gold Label or something like that, they a lot of private label batches for other companies, same stuff, different labels.

When i mix it up with the other stuff it stores very well and wood just loves to suck it in. you then just remove the wood from the special sauce and let it air dry and you have stabilized wood :D

JT, Please tell me more about you stabilizing your wood with the superglue.
What other stuff do you mix it with? Do you use the thin, water-consistency stuff?
Let me know.
Thanks,
Mitch

Alpha Knife Supply carries it in 1 pint bottles, or they used to.It.s not listed on the website, you have to call and ask about it.This is where David Winston told me he got his anyway.

I talked to Chuck just the other day and he has a five gallon jug of it. I am sure he will sell you what you need. and it's cheaper than from a hobby store.

Contact Henkel to find a local rep. They are the makers of loctite and manufacture many adhesives including cyanoacrylate. They supply their adhesives in small and large containers, and it will cost you A LOT less.

Plus their experts can recommend the exact formula that will suit your needs.
