i am looking for an alternative bushcraft knife with a round handle like mora classic or mora garberg. dimensions do not matter, ideally with carbon steel or a rustproof one, which can be sharpened in the field without tools. please show all your ideas. best regards

L.T. Wright, Battle Horse Knives, and numerous makers Here on BF will make you that.

Often they are called "broomstick handle" shaped knives, like a Kephart/sort of, I like them too. I'm at work, otherwise I'd post a few pictures.....

Pardon my ignorance, but you've sort of hit all the bases here.... ideally carbon steel or rustproof? Those are the only two choices available, I think.

and, can be sharpened without tools? hmmmm, by osmosis?

Either I'm misunderstanding, or perhaps you could clarify a bit?

I prefer a steel that can be brought back to working sharpness in extreme cases where there is no whetstone available with stones and a leatherbelt. This works with most carbon steels, with very few stainless steels

Reset, I would just grab this one if it's not gone.
