This is a Buster Brown Axe that was given away at shoe stores that sold their line of childrens shoes.I don't know how old it is but my wife bought it about 25 years ago to go with her Buttonhook collection. This is the only one of this size that I have seen,I have seen hatchets but not a Timber Cruiser. I just thought someone might like it.

That's cool, I saw a 'Coca Cola' hatchet in a book at Barnes & Noble this past weekend, too... amazing what is out there!!!

Ah, but do you have the matching Buster Brown engraved .45 ?

We need an Adiddas Bowie knife, too.

That's completely baffling to me. Is there some way Buster Brown shoes ties in with a hatchet? Or was this just some swag for a dealer?

During the 20s,30s and 40s many companies gave gifts for purchasing their merchandise and this was just one of the items that Buster Brown gave away. Buster Brown was the Official Boy Scout Shoe for Quite some time . maybe that is the tie in or maybe not. I do klnow that they also had hatchets and pocket knifes.

I've had Brown Shoe Co/Buster Brown pocket and sheath knives. I was told a youths boot model had pocket that held the pocket knife which was included with the boot purchase. I've never seen an axe. Way cool and rather valuable I would think.

I have seen old ads for thehigh top boots that had a pouch for a pocket type knife on the outside of the right boot but I have never seen them
